Mametomi Honpo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company/we”) operates its official website (hereinafter “the website”) and collects personal information from users in order to provide a variety of services.
All personal information collected from users of the website will be handled appropriately and managed strictly in accordance with the Act of the Protection of Personal Information.

1. Personal Information

“Personal information” refers to information as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and includes information about living persons that can identify a specific individual through details such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions. It also includes data (personal identification information) such as facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance ID numbers that can identify a specific individual.

2. How We Collect Personal Information

When users register to use our services, we may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and email address. We may also collect information, including personal information, related to transactions and payments between users and our partners (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, and others; hereinafter "partners").

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, recipients of personal information will not be considered third parties in the following cases.

  • When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business operations due to a merger or other reasons
  • When personal information is used jointly with specific parties, provided that the individual has been notified of the following in advance or the information has been made readily accessible: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of parties jointly using the information, the purposes of use by those parties, and the name or title of the party responsible for managing the personal information

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

In such cases, we will promptly notify the individual of our decision not to disclose.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will, in principle, not disclose information other than personal information, such as usage history or characteristic information.

7. Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

  • By completing the procedures specified by us, users may request the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter "correction, etc.") of any of their personal information held by us if they believe the information to be inaccurate.
  • Upon determining that it is necessary to comply with a request from a user under the preceding paragraph, we will promptly correct, add, or delete the relevant personal information.
  • Regardless of whether we make a correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph or decide not to make a correction, etc., we will promptly notify the user of our decision.

8. Suspension, etc. of Use of Personal Information

  • If an individual requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter "suspension, etc. of use") of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purposes of use or was obtained via improper means, we will promptly conduct the necessary investigations.
  • Based on the results of the investigations set forth in the preceding paragraph, if we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request, we will promptly suspend, etc. the use of the relevant personal information.
  • Regardless of whether we suspend, etc. the use of personal information based on the preceding paragraph or decide not to suspend, etc. the use, we will promptly notify the user of our decision.
  • Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if suspending, etc. the use of personal information would involve substantial cost or otherwise be difficult to implement, and if alternative measures able to protect the user's rights and interests are available, we will implement the alternative measures.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

  • The content of this policy may be changed without the need to notify users, except as otherwise provided by law or in this policy.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised privacy policy will take effect from the time it is posted on the website.
