Privacy Policy

“Personal information” refers to information as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and includes information about living persons that can identify a specific individual through details such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions. It also includes data (personal identification information) such as facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance ID numbers that can identify a specific individual.

When users register to use our services, we may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and email address. We may also collect information, including personal information, related to transactions and payments between users and our partners (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, and others; hereinafter "partners").

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

• To provide and operate our services
• To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)
• To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns, and other information related to the services users are currently using, as well as information about other services we offer
• To contact users as needed for maintenance, important notices, and other necessary communications
• To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the services for improper or unlawful purposes, and to deny access to such users
• To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registered information and to check their usage status
• For purposes incidental to the above activities

• We will only change the purpose of use of personal information if we reasonably determine that the new purpose is related to the original purpose.
• If the purpose of use is changed, we will notify users of the new purpose by a method specified by us or announce it on the website.

We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, this shall not apply when permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws and regulations.

• When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
• When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
• When necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, a local public body, or a party commissioned by them to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent could hinder the performance of those duties
• When the following matters have been notified or made public in advance, and the Company has filed a report with the Personal Information Protection Commission
  1. That the purpose of use includes the provision of personal information to third parties
  2. The types of data provided to third parties
  3. The means or methods of provision to third parties
  4. That provision of personal information to third parties will be suspended upon the individual's request
  5. The method for accepting requests from individuals

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, recipients of personal information will not be considered third parties in the following cases.

• When we outsource the handling of all or part of the personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
• When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business operations due to a merger or other reasons
• When personal information is used jointly with specific parties, provided that the individual has been notified of the following in advance or the information has been made readily accessible: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of parties jointly using the information, the purposes of use by those parties, and the name or title of the party responsible for managing the personal information

When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, we will disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure would result in any of the following, we may refrain from disclosing all or part of the information. In such cases, we will promptly notify the individual of our decision not to disclose.

• When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
• When there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper conduct of our business
• When disclosure would otherwise violate laws or regulations

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will, in principle, not disclose information other than personal information, such as usage history or characteristic information.

• By completing the procedures specified by us, users may request the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter　"correction, etc.") of any of their personal information held by us if they believe the information to be inaccurate.
• Upon determining that it is necessary to comply with a request from a user under the preceding paragraph, we will promptly correct, add, or delete the relevant personal information.
• Regardless of whether we make a correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph or decide not to make a correction, etc., we will promptly notify the user of our decision.

• If an individual requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter "suspension, etc. of use") of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purposes of use or was obtained via improper means, we will promptly conduct the necessary investigations.
• Based on the results of the investigations set forth in the preceding paragraph, if we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request, we will promptly suspend, etc. the use of the relevant personal information.
• Regardless of whether we suspend, etc. the use of personal information based on the preceding paragraph or decide not to suspend, etc. the use, we will promptly notify the user of our decision.
• Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if suspending, etc. the use of personal information would involve substantial cost or otherwise be difficult to implement, and if alternative measures able to protect the user's rights and interests are available, we will implement the alternative measures.

• The content of this policy may be changed without the need to notify users, except as otherwise provided by law or in this policy.
• Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised privacy policy will take effect from the time it is posted on the website.
